Trip began as an internal passion project after we realised there was no simple way to answer everyday questions like 'Where did I drive this month?', 'How much have I spent on fuel?', or 'Which journeys could have been avoided?'. What started as a personal PHP/MySQL application in 2021 evolved through years of continuous daily use before being redesigned from the ground up using React, Next.js and PostgreSQL as a modern cloud platform that anyone can use.
